Beautycounter is now my go-to brand for non-toxic beauty products that actually work, but I did hesitate to try them for a while because I have been wary of direct sales companies from bad experiences in the past. Thankfully, the friend who introduced me to Beautycounter was not pushy. It took me over a year until I gave the Beautycounter foundation a try on a consistent basis and she never pressured me to buy anything. At first, I wasn’t sold on it because I had acne issues and needed heavier coverage than it provided, but as my skin issues have cleared up, I have come to enjoy the natural look and feel of their Tint foundation. I don’t wear a whole lot of makeup, but Beautycounter enables me to feel confident that everything I’m putting on my skin is safe and non-toxic.
Men, before you stop reading this post thinking it’s only for females, Beautycounter now has a men’s skincare line called Counterman, and you can score major brownie points with the lady in your life by getting her a Beautycounter gift set!
I know that becoming a Beautycounter Consultant can be a good way to earn deep discounts on their products (up to 35% off), but being involved in direct sales and needing to meet a quota every 6 months is not my cup of tea. I knew I couldn’t commit to that, so I’ve looked into other ways to get discounts on their products and found a few ways that might be helpful for you as well!
Start At A Cash Back Site
If you’ve read some of my other posts on budgeting, you’ll know I ALWAYS use cashback sites when I do any online shopping. You just need to start your shopping at one of the below sites, create an account if you don’t already have one, and once you make your Beautycounter order, you will automatically be credited with cashback. Painless!
GoCashBack – Earn 6% cashback
MaxRebates – Earn 8% cashback
Mr. Rebates – Earn 5% cashback
ExtraBux – Earn 4% cashback
Swagbucks – Earn 2 Swagbucks per $1 spent
Become A Band Of Beauty Member
I love that Beautycounter offers this membership option for those who aren’t looking to be involved with sales and consulting but want a way to be rewarded for their purchases. Here are the details.
- Free Shipping on Qualifying Orders of $100+
- 10% Product Credit on Applicable Orders
- A welcome gift of the Overnight Resurfacing Peel ($63 USD value) when you spend $50+ on products when enrolling
- Members exclusive offers throughout the year
The fee to become a member is $29 for one year, so if you plan to spend at least $100 on beauty and personal care products this year, this will pay for itself almost immediately with that free welcome gift and free shipping!
One other thing about Beautycounter that might be of interest – you do not have to shop through a consultant. They offer an option to purchase from their website directly, so if you’d rather bypass that relationship, you can. I choose to use a consultant because it’s helpful for me to learn from her experiences with the products and recommendations as I’m choosing the best fit for me.
