I have a few ideas for what I want to accomplish in 2020, but instead of making specific resolutions this year, I’m trying something different.  I was struck by something I saw recently that asked me to imagine how the next year would be different if I stayed consistent.  Wow.  I thought about how this past year may have ended differently had I stayed consistent in several things and felt a little discouraged, but at the same time felt hopeful thinking about new opportunities in the coming year!

Consistency, now there’s an idea.  Sounds so simple, but keeping up with things day after day, month after month – well,  I just haven’t had a great track record.   There are some crucial things I do well consistently, but so many other new ideas or goals I end up starting and then giving up on or just being halfway committed to.

2019 has been a rollercoaster of happiness, adversity, adjustment, disappointment, loss, recovery, and healing.  I’m sure you can identify – I know many of you have had similar ups and downs as we all do each year.

In 2020, I’m looking forward to progress, second chances, growth, determination, strength, change, health, but most of all, consistency.  Each month for the next year, I’m going to target ONE area of growth and focus on it every day for that entire month.  I’m not sure what each month will entail yet, but I know what I’m focusing on for the first one!   I know I can make it for 30 days.  Baby steps.  Who else is ready to move forward into the new year?  365 chances to improve, to connect, to learn, and to grow await us!

Not all of my growth areas are related to health, but that’s definitely one of them.  I know some of you may be wanting to make healthy consistent changes related to weight loss in 2020.  Want to get in on the “dieting for dollars” craze and up your potential for weight loss success?
