You may have noticed my blogging has been fairly sparse this month. My full-time job (insurance) has been keeping me busier than usual so instead of writing new content, I’ve focused more on participating in collaborative networks like Webfluential, Perlu, and Dealspotr. They’ve been incredibly useful for connecting with businesses and fellow bloggers. I’m feeling hopeful about the possibilities for the coming year and I’m currently in the brainstorming stage for a new website that will be a collaboration with local businesses in the health & fitness industry and fellow bloggers! Though I’m giddy about this new project, I’m by no means putting aside The Planking Traveler. She is and hopefully always will be, my baby, but has been long overdue for some sprucing up. To give her a much-needed makeover, this weekend I worked on updating my layout and theme. I’m not quite sure if the new layout is something I want to stick with though, so that’s where you come in. I’d love your thoughts on the new look!
Here’s what I’m going for:
- Fast loading time
- Mobile-device optimized
- Easy to navigate to relevant posts
- Categories that are useful and make sense
- Attractive and uncluttered feel
Do you like the new layout that shows more posts on one page or did you prefer fewer posts and just clicking on “more” in the previous layout? Do the current colors appeal to you? What would you like to see changed?
Also, if you have any specific WordPress themes that you love, I’d love to hear those suggestions too. I want the site to be useful for YOU, so I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback you have!
