Armed Forces Vacation Club: Your Gateway to Affordable Travel (even as a Civilian)

As an active, retired, or veteran military member, it’s time for some well-deserved rest and relaxation as a reward for serving your country. The Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC) is a free travel club that offers exclusive discounts on resorts, hotels, and more to military members and their families.

My family has enjoyed several vacations thanks to the deep discounts that AFVC provides, including some wonderful locations in Hawaii. Popular destinations can book quickly, so it’s always a good idea to book as far in advance as possible!

Perhaps you haven’t served in the military and don’t have any immediate family members who did. Not to worry, you can still join AFCV! All you need to do is join the Association of the United States Army as a basic member (free for 2 years) and list yourself as a “military supporter”. You can alternate with a spouse to get up to 4 years free with this. Once you join AUSA, then you will qualify to join the AFVC.

Benefits of Joining the AFVC

  • Save big on travel: Enjoy exclusive discounts of up to 60% on resorts, hotels, and vacation rentals worldwide.  Many resorts in their network (which includes international destinations) can be booked for $409 for a full week!!

  • Access a wide variety of travel options: Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation, an exciting adventure, or a family-friendly getaway, the AFVC has something for everyone.

  • Book with confidence:  AFVC partners with reputable travel providers, so you can be sure you’re getting a great deal on a quality vacation.

Who Can Join the AFVC?

The AFVC is open to all active, retired, and veteran military members of the United States Armed Forces, as well as their families. This includes spouses, dependents, and parents.

As mentioned above, if you aren’t in any of the categories above, you can still join through AUSA as a military supporter.

How to Join the AFVC

Joining the AFVC is easy and free. Simply create an account on the AFVC website and verify your military status. If you’re a civilian, you’ll verify that you have joined AUSA as a military supporter. Once you’ve joined AFVC as a member, you can start browsing for vacation deals immediately!

Have you joined this club or heard about it? I’d love to hear your experience in the comments.
