How To Easily Capture and Share Your Travel Memories With The MyPostcard App

You’ve taken about 500 stunning photos on your most recent vacation and you want a fun way to share them with your friends and family. Time to upload your 50th Facebook album? No! Resist the urge! Instead of flooding your friends’ newsfeed with a ton of photos they probably will either ignore or roll their eyes about, why not try something new and turn your photos into personalized mementos?

In case you haven’t heard about it yet, there is an incredible app just for this purpose, and it’s called MyPostcard! I always end up with so many photos after I take a trip, but I have lacked a way to create keepsakes and also share them with others without being that annoying person constantly posting pictures. I was SO thankful to find MyPostcard because it allows me to do both of those things so easily.

I have fond memories of when my grandmother used to send me postcards from new places she would visit and I still have some of them, almost 20 years later. It’s a small gesture, but to me, it is so meaningful that someone took the time to send you something to let you know they were thinking about you.

I would like to say that I love sending postcards to family and friends, but when I’m traveling it’s honestly a hassle that I typically avoid. Finding beautiful postcards of the location isn’t usually difficult, but finding a place to buy stamps and also a post office or drop off box to mail them can be challenging when you’re traveling and aren’t familiar with what’s nearby. Often I’ve resorted to begging the front desk concierge at the hotel to mail my postcards because I wait until the last minute to fill them out or more often I’m on the way to the airport when I remember they’re in my bag and still need to be mailed…oops!

Once I get home from vacation, I eagerly share all about my travels with friends and inquire if they received my postcard. Without fail, the answer is “no”, since they always seem to take an inexplicably long time to arrive, usually at least 1-2 months when I’ve been somewhere overseas! It kind of ruins the point of sending a postcard when you beat it home and all the excitement of your trip has worn off before it finally arrives, right?

Once again, MyPostcard is here to solve this problem for you. I love the fact that the app takes care of EVERYTHING for you. All you do is choose your design, upload a photo(s), write your message, add the address, and they take care of printing it and mailing it to your recipient!

Once you order your postcard, MyPostcard prints it and takes it to the post office within 24 hours (except for Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). From that point, the typical turnaround is 3-6 business days for shipping! So much more reasonable than an old-school postcard! I loved creating a photo collage postcard of my fur baby – check it out below! You can add text to the front, then choose from several fun fonts to write your message on the backside of the postcard.

There are so many creative postcard design options to choose from – fully customizable photo collages, cards with destinations already on them where you can just add your photos, and photo cards pre-selected for you. You can even upgrade to an XXL postcard for the photo that just needs a little more space to shine and show off like the one I created above.

In case you’re wondering if all these features come at a premium price, the cost of sending a standard postcard, including printing, processing, taxes, and postage to an address anywhere in the world starts at $1.99. The cost of a greeting card starts at $3.99 (including the printing, processing, taxes, and postage). To me, this is such a steal!

The MyPostcard App is available in both the Apple iOS and Google Play App stores. They are currently offering 30% off when you use my referral link and enter promo code TPT2019 at checkout. Click here to see MyPostcard’s most recent deals.

  1. oOo…this sounds like a great app! I am trying to organize my photos from our recent Korea trip to create a momento for my parents. This is cool!
