Nestled amongst the whispering pines and peaceful creekside scenery, Creekberry beckons you with the promise of a rejuvenating escape. This fully remodeled mountain cabin in Saltville, Virginia, is more than just a vacation rental; it’s a gateway to adventure, history, and plenty of comfort. Whether you’re looking to spend time in the great outdoors with your pet, curl up with a good book, or bond with family or friends over some board games, Nintendo, or a good movie, there’s something for everyone. I recently enjoyed a weekend solo adventure here and had a wonderful stay!

Step Back in Time While Still Enjoying Modern Luxuries
Built in 1900 as a railway engineer’s home, Creekberry is steeped in local history. As you explore its charming details, imagine the stories etched within its walls. Thoughtful renovations have imbued the cabin with modern comforts, creating a seamless blend of vintage charm and contemporary convenience. I especially liked the lighting fixtures that brought a sense of rustic elegance to the space.
Additions were made through the years and at one point there was a second floor that had a house fire. The current owners bought the house from the Boardwines in 2022 and fully renovated it complete with adding a bathroom and they’ve had it available for rent since June of 2023. Be sure to book early as it’s quite a popular spot!

Unwind and Reconnect
Soak up the peace and quiet alone or gather with loved ones in the inviting living space, warmed by the electric logs in the winter and open windows to hear the gentle murmur of the creek in warmer months. Whip up delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen, featuring brand-new appliances, filtered water, coffee makers and even an air fryer. Enjoy the calming sounds of the creek on two expansive decks; one is gated so that pets can roam freely.
Sip your morning drink on the front porch and warm up with some s’mores in the fire pit at night. The main bedroom has a cozy king bed, and the second bedroom is equipped with two twin beds. There is also a queen sleeper sofa with plenty of blankets and quilts available! The living room and bedrooms all have ROKU TV’s that will allow you to sign into your own streaming services with an automatic signout feature upon checkout that is brilliant! I appreciated the ample USB and electrical charging outlets in the bedrooms and the included list of local attractions and restaurants as well.
