7 North Carolina Small Businesses To Support This Holiday Season

Shopping with these small businesses is a great place to start if you’re looking to invest in the local economy rather than supporting large chains. These are all North Carolina-based, but many have options to shop online if you live outside of NC.

Hometown Goodie Boxes

North Carolina artisanal products are delivered directly to your door in a variety of goodie boxes you can order online. You can see my video review of the specific products that I enjoyed here. I love that you can choose from so many wonderful NC products including food and self-care items.

Lizzie’s Herb Shop

I was so happy to find this spot in Kernersville! They carry a wide variety of natural products, vitamins, supplements, herbs, and even natural pet products. Most recently they helped me pick out good natural pest repellant and immunity supplements. Come in for a consultation and they will find a regimen to fit your everyday needs. They also ship orders, just email them with product information, quantity, your name, and phone number, and they will call to complete payment information within one business day.

Vida Pour Tea

This is the perfect space on State Street in Greensboro to relax with a good book, meet up with friends, or even have a game night. This peaceful tea shop sells local goods, kombucha, kefir, hand-blended tea, herbs, and art and also holds workshops. You can shop their online store as well.

Elizabeth H Myers Watercolors

Located in High Point, NC, Elizabeth created a beautiful portrait of our first home and does a wide variety of custom art including hand lettering, pet ornaments, and stationery. So talented and so easy to work with.

Sonder Mind & Body

This place is a haven for health in downtown Greensboro. They offer massage therapy, an infrared sauna, nutrition consultations, chiropractic, acupuncture, flotation pods, and a Well Cafe with smoothies and healthy snacks. The two sisters that founded it are so nice and I always want to stay there for hours every time I go in.

Free Spirit Getaways

Boutique vacation rentals in North Myrtle Beach and Winston Salem are run by Cara who puts personal touches into each rental. Though I haven’t had a chance to stay in the James Bond cottage yet, it’s definitely on my list!

Himalayan Hideaway

This is a salt cave in Winston Salem that’s the perfect place to relax while also improving your respiratory health. Not sure what halotherapy is? Check out my full review of my visit here.

I’m hopeful that together, we will be able to help small businesses bounce back and not only sustain, but grow their companies going into next year. Do you run a small business or know of one that could use some love? Please share it in the comments.

Thanks for reading!
